Identify your stock ball
Ask your coach to check the grip and release for your action. Use the same intended delivery while observing what repeats; do not change several details after each result.
Leg-spin uses wrist-spin to produce the bowler’s stock turning delivery. Build a repeatable ball and a clear target before collecting variations; turn alone does not make a delivery effective.

Mark a target area and record whether the ball reaches it. A ball that turns sharply from an unsuitable length may be easier to attack than a more accurate stock delivery.
Consider what the batter is trying to do. Review flight, landing point and response together, rather than treating extra revolutions as the only meaningful improvement.
Develop a dependable stock ball before introducing several releases.
A fortunate dismissal does not replace evidence of repeatable control.
Work on a coach-selected target with your normal action. Separate notes on accuracy from notes on turn. When the stock delivery becomes more repeatable, introduce a batter or a match scenario and record whether your intended plan survives that added pressure.
If a batter repeatedly advances, discuss a response with your coach before changing everything. Compare the intended landing area with the actual ball and the batter’s movement. The exercise should reveal whether your plan and execution match, not just whether a wicket fell.
